What you will do
- Lead and organize the Facilities Department across facilities engineering, maintenance, and calibration.
- Manage utilities, building systems, equipment maintenance, calibration, and cGMP documentation supporting laboratory and operational activities.
- Coordinate third-party contractors, external support, permits, projects, equipment installations, and utility modifications.
- Maintain audit readiness and provide Facilities subject-matter expertise for cGMP investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and audits.
- Oversee chemical and biological waste management, including disposal documentation for GMO or live viral material.
- Manage site safety coordination, emergency response, call-out coverage, business continuity, KPIs, SLAs, budgets, and Facilities team development.
Requirements
- BA or BSc in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of relevant building management experience; cGMP experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of line management and team development experience.
- Practical experience with building management systems, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical safety, Lockout/Tagout, health and safety, and fire safety management.
- Experience with cGMP training and documentation, biological and chemical waste management, and asset management software such as Blue Mountain.
- Strong cross-functional communication, organization, relationship-building, and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Nice to have
- cGMP experience in a relevant facilities or laboratory environment.
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH NGC training.
