What you will do
- Execute the Property & Casualty facultative underwriting strategy for the Andean Region.
- Originate, structure, negotiate, and underwrite profitable facultative reinsurance transactions.
- Identify business opportunities and build relationships with brokers, cedents, and clients.
- Evaluate risks, pricing, terms, conditions, structures, capacity, and contract wordings.
- Monitor portfolio performance, market trends, competitive developments, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
- Collaborate with legal, regional, and cross-functional experts to deliver client solutions and promote underwriting excellence.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Property re/insurance underwriting; Casualty experience is an advantage.
- Experience in facultative underwriting, insurance, reinsurance, or commercial risk underwriting.
- Knowledge of Property products, underwriting and pricing methodologies, risk assessment, and insurance and reinsurance contract structures.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills with a client-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of the insurance regulatory environment in the Andean Region is preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
