Financial Controller (Fintech)

Location: New York, United States; hybrid work arrangement. Candidates must have the right to work in the jurisdiction in which they are applying.

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year.

What you will do

• Review journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany balances, and fixed assets.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, management accounts, and statutory financial statements.
• Contribute to regulatory capital reporting, VAT, payroll, and other statutory filings.
• Prepare audit schedules and documentation, respond to auditor queries, and maintain scalable financial controls.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate historical data and help improve finance models and processes.
• Collaborate with finance, risk, and operations to ensure accurate management, statutory, and regulatory reporting.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with CPA, ACA, or ACCA certification and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Background in business services, audit, or corporate accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting, statutory reporting, control frameworks, and consolidated accounts.
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and analysis.
• Right to work in the jurisdiction in which you are applying.

• Knowledge of US tax, LATAM accounting regulations, or international reporting standards.
