Chief Compliance Officer, UK (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead and maintain the UK compliance framework in line with FCA rules and applicable legislation.
• Develop the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, monitor regulatory developments, and oversee remediation.
• Advise senior management on investments, crypto products, business initiatives, and regulatory obligations.
• Act as a primary contact for the FCA and other regulatory bodies, managing supervisory, authorisation, and reporting interactions.
• Oversee Consumer Duty, financial crime and AML frameworks, financial promotions, marketing communications, and website content.
• Chair the Risk & Compliance Committee and shape the firm’s risk culture, values, and risk appetite at Board level.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom.
• 10+ years of regulatory compliance experience within a relevant FCA-regulated firm.
• Approval as, or ability to obtain approval for, FCA Senior Management Function SMF16.
• Strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook, Consumer Duty, UK Money Laundering Regulations, and SM&CR.
• Experience with FCA supervisory and authorisation interactions, regulatory reporting, risk assessment, and cross-functional programmes.
• Degree or equivalent practical experience, with strong analytical, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working in an international team environment across large, multi-workstream projects.
