TL;DR
Product Designer (AI): Designing and refining feature-level UI for Deepgram's Playground and Console experiences with an accent on design-system fluency, developer-focused products, and precise visual and interaction craft. Focus on taking features from defined direction through production handoff, documenting design rationale, and applying AI tools across rapidly evolving voice and audio products.
Location: USA - Remote; Pacific Time-based, with a preference for candidates located in San Francisco.
Base salary: $115K–$142.5K annually, plus potential bonus and equity.

What you will do
- Design and refine feature-level UI across the Playground and Console experiences.
- Support senior designers by taking assigned feature work from defined direction through production handoff.
- Apply the Cosmos design system and use judgment for edge cases not covered by existing patterns.
- Document design rationale, present work in critiques, provide peer feedback, and give regular project updates.
- Use AI and design tools in daily work and share effective practices with the team.
Requirements
- Strong UI craft and a portfolio demonstrating visual and interaction judgment.
- Experience delivering feature-level work end to end, from direction through production handoff.
- Fluency with design systems and the ability to determine when an established pattern does not fit.
- Clear written communication, including the reasoning behind design decisions.
- Comfort designing technical or abstract product surfaces and using AI tools in daily practice.
- Ability to work remotely from the USA on Pacific Time.
Nice to have
- Experience designing for developers or technical users, including APIs, SDKs, documentation, or console workflows.
- Exposure to B2B SaaS with self-serve and enterprise motions.
- Prototyping beyond static screens.
- Experience contributing to a design system.
- Interest in voice, audio, or real-time products.
