FY27 Tax Intern - Conversion - Summer 2026 - Puget Sound (Tax Accounting): Supporting federal, state, and local tax engagements through tax returns, workpapers, research, calculations, and client documentation with an accent on foundational accounting, tax analysis, and professional development. Focus on preparing accurate deliverables, using tax and collaboration technologies including AI-enabled tools, and communicating effectively with engagement teams and clients.
Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; hybrid work with regular in-office attendance
Salary: $25.00–$96.60 per hour in Washington.

What you will do
- Support tax engagements by learning clients’ businesses, industries, transactions, and tax needs.
- Assist with federal, state, and local tax returns, workpapers, calculations, schedules, and related deliverables.
- Conduct tax research and clearly document findings for engagement teams and clients.
- Use tax preparation, research, workflow, document management, data, and collaboration technologies.
- Collaborate with engagement teams and clients to obtain information and maintain accurate documentation.
- Complete assigned work on time, communicate progress and issues, and apply coaching and feedback.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business discipline at an accredited institution.
- At least one academic term must remain after the internship.
- On track to meet educational requirements for CPA exam eligibility before starting a full-time Associate position.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa sponsorship.
- At least 18 years old; resume and unofficial transcripts are required.
- Foundational accounting knowledge, research and analytical ability, Microsoft Office proficiency, communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and reliability.

- Previous internship, academic, leadership, volunteer, customer service, or other relevant experience.
