What you will do
- Lead the architecture, design, delivery, and long-term ownership of high-performance applications using Ruby on Rails, React, and cloud technologies.
- Build scalable software and distributed systems for enterprise customers.
- Design AI-enabled engineering tools, workflows, automation, and evaluation practices that improve productivity and software quality.
- Drive automated testing, code quality, observability, performance optimization, security, and sustainable architecture.
- Lead technical discovery, scope delivery, manage technical debt, and turn ambiguous product requirements into measurable engineering work.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering Leadership, and R&D Architecture through reviews, planning, retrospectives, and architecture sessions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building modern full-stack applications.
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and React, or equivalent modern backend and frontend technologies.
- Experience designing scalable distributed systems and APIs using GraphQL, REST, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and data technologies such as Kafka, BigQuery, Flink, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
- Experience optimizing performance through benchmarking, observability, and scalability engineering.
- Demonstrated engineering leadership, mentoring ability, systems thinking, communication, and AI fluency including prompt engineering, workflow orchestration, output evaluation, and responsible AI use.
