Head of Group Regulatory Policy– Corporate Affairs (Financial Services/Regulatory Policy): Leading regulatory policy strategy and advocacy for a major retail and commercial banking group with an accent on consumer policy, executive advice, and evidence-based external engagement. Focus on translating complex regulatory developments into clear policy positions, building senior stakeholder and external regulator relationships, and leading collaborative communications professionals.
Location: Hybrid, with two days per week in the London office
Salary: £126,523–£148,850 per year

What you will do
- Lead regulatory policy strategy and advocacy across the Group, with an emphasis on the consumer agenda.
- Advise executives and senior stakeholders on regulatory policy, economic trends, and policy solutions.
- Define evidence-based policy priorities, develop persuasive messages, and deliver advocacy programmes.
- Translate complex regulatory developments into clear communications, policy positions, and external regulatory input.
- Build and maintain relationships with government, regulators, and other external stakeholders.
- Lead an agile team of engaged communications professionals working across changing policy issues.
Requirements
- Experience in a communications role within financial services, investment banking, or pensions.
- Experience working in a Group Corporate Affairs function at executive level and leading qualified communications professionals.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and economic trends, financial services regulation, and policy development.
- Relevant technical regulatory experience and a track record of generating policy solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience delivering effective advocacy programmes.
