ECD Field Monitoring Support Service Provider (Early Childhood Development)

Location: Amman, Jordan; the service is based in Amman and requires field visits to community-based organization locations.

What you will do

• Conduct 15 documented community-based organization visits over three months: four in October, five in November, and six in December.
• Observe four complete early childhood development sessions each month using the approved checklist.
• Assess session readiness, attendance, materials, facilitation quality, participation, inclusion, safe interactions, and room readiness.
• Provide constructive facilitator feedback, agree improvement actions, and follow up on recommendations during repeat visits.
• Review attendance and session records, raise questions with the ECD Coordinator, and immediately report safeguarding or significant safety concerns through IRC procedures.
• Submit visit logs, observation checklists, feedback notes, action trackers, monthly reports, and a final CBO-by-CBO handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood development, education, social sciences, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience supporting ECD or education programming, CBO field monitoring, session observation, or facilitator coaching.
• Working knowledge of ECD activities, structured observation tools, and partner follow-up.
• Ability to document observations objectively and convert findings into practical follow-up actions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and editing skills; experience with Word and Excel; self-initiative and flexibility under pressure.
• Fluency in Arabic and working knowledge of English required.

Nice to have

• Previous experience working with local communities.
• Familiarity with mobile data collection tools.
