Product Designer (AI)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid with at least three days a week in the office. Visa sponsorship is available if already based in the Netherlands.

hirify.global builds a connected restaurant management system covering sales, reservations, kitchen preparation, payments, and operational data for hospitality businesses.

What you will do

• Own design for point-of-sale sales flows, floor plans, kitchen displays, receipts, cash management, and payment experiences.
• Design checkout, bill splitting, tips, service charges, settlement, and terminal workflows.
• Own the design system, components, and implementation details in the native app.
• Prototype in code, ship UI, and design AI-powered product experiences such as self-configuring restaurant setup.
• Work with product managers and engineers to define problems, solutions, and priorities.
• Champion merchants, contribute to user understanding, and mentor other designers.

Requirements

• End-to-end design leadership on a product that people depend on.
• Ability to make complex workflows simple for first-time users working under pressure.
• Experience handling complex systems, states, edge cases, money, and failure scenarios.
• Experience using AI tools or a strong willingness to learn them quickly; AI use is required for the role.
• Based in the Netherlands and able to work from the Amsterdam office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience designing native apps for tablets, phones, or handhelds.
• Payments or fintech experience.
• Experience with products spanning multiple devices or physical hardware.
• Experience building or running a design system.
• Hospitality experience, including work in a restaurant, bar, or café.
