Construction Translator / Interpreter DE/EN

Location: Klostermansfeld, Germany; on-site interpretation is required for meetings, safety briefings, contractor negotiations, and site inspections.

hirify.global presents a construction translation role supporting the Klostermansfeld Battery Energy Storage System, a large-scale project developed by BW ESS.

What you will do

• Translate blueprints, technical specifications, equipment manuals, legal contracts, and project bids.
• Translate health and safety protocols, training materials, and emergency procedures for on-site workers.
• Provide German-English interpretation during client meetings, safety briefings, contractor negotiations, and site inspections.
• Proofread and edit translations for grammar, technical precision, and local regulatory compliance.
• Maintain bilingual glossaries covering engineering, architecture, and building-material terminology.

Requirements

• Fluency in written and spoken German and English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Modern Languages, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional experience translating technical or industrial content.
• Familiarity with CAT tools and standard office software.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts across language and cultural barriers.

Nice to have

• Background in construction, engineering, or manufacturing.
