Senior Java Developer (Fintech)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; flexible hybrid working model

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, microservices, and integrations for a business-critical mutual fund trading platform.
• Develop services with Java 21 and Spring Boot, using REST APIs, Kafka, and Microsoft SQL.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code based on object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
• Build and maintain automated functional, integration, API, and regression tests with JUnit and Cucumber.
• Validate APIs, Kafka event flows, and database integrity while contributing to CI/CD pipelines and reliable test execution.
• Troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects, and collaborate with Product Management, DevOps, and other developers.

Requirements

• Several years of professional Java development experience, including strong experience with Java 21 and Spring Boot.
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, and Microsoft SQL.
• Hands-on experience with JUnit, Cucumber, and automated integration, API, and regression testing.
• Experience with CI/CD, production systems, technical troubleshooting, and software quality practices.
• Good understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
• Fluent English and availability for the hybrid role in Stockholm, Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience with React and automated UI testing.
• Experience in financial services, trading, or similar business-critical platforms.
