Compass Payment Developer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Kazakhstan

Salary: EUR 1,300–2,600 per month gross. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Develop and enhance payment processes on Compass Payment.
• Implement changes to payment flows and integrations with external systems.
• Ensure accurate payment data transmission and manage transaction statuses, transitions, errors, exceptions, and duplicate requests.
• Analyze logs, troubleshoot payment infrastructure, and investigate production incidents to identify root causes.
• Participate in testing, releases, deployments, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with QA engineers, analysts, architects, and developers while supporting existing integrations and improving payment reliability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial hands-on experience with Compass Payment.
• Experience developing payment processes and integrating Compass Payment with external systems.
• Understanding of payment architecture, the complete transaction lifecycle, statuses, transitions, error handling, and exception scenarios.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, production incident analysis, log analysis, troubleshooting, and payment functionality releases.
• Understanding of reliability and accuracy requirements for financial transactions.
• English at Pre-Intermediate+ level or above.
