Staff Full Stack Developer (TypeScript, React, Scala, AWS)

Location: Hybrid in London, with one day per week onsite; candidates must be UK-based and have the right to work in the UK.

Rate: £600+ per day

What you will do

• Set the technical direction for a major customer-facing web platform supporting mobile applications.
• Build and maintain frontend and backend systems using TypeScript, React, Scala, and AWS.
• Set engineering standards, guide teams, and lead delivery on significant projects.
• Collaborate with designers, UX specialists, product leads, and developers to shape product and technical decisions.
• Develop performant, secure solutions for a high-traffic platform with broad organisational impact.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building web applications.
• Strong frontend development skills with TypeScript, React, and modern CSS.
• Backend development experience with Scala and hands-on AWS experience.
• Experience leading teams and significant projects in a fast-moving, product-driven environment.
• Experience building and maintaining high-traffic platforms, applying security best practices, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• UK-based with the right to work in the UK.
