What you will do
- Integrate BMS, HVAC, lighting, energy, IoT, and facility management systems with cloud platforms.
- Conduct on-site building inspections and remote network discoveries to identify and document IP-capable IoT/OT devices and control systems.
- Configure AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud services, storage, and data-processing pipelines for building-system data.
- Implement secure data transfer, encryption, authentication, access controls, and cybersecurity practices.
- Analyze building performance and sustainability data, troubleshoot integration issues, and produce technical reports.
- Mentor engineers, train on-site staff, and lead collaboration with IT, facility management, operations, and client teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in controls engineering or a related field.
- Typically 7–12 years of experience with building automation systems, cloud integration, IT infrastructure, systems integration, or related engineering disciplines.
- Experience with digital building systems, building controls, IP networking, site surveys, system audits, cybersecurity, and IoT edge computing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, client relationship, process improvement, and mentoring skills.
- Knowledge of MEP engineering, energy performance analytics, data preprocessing, and operational documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience with Niagara, Delmatic, Delta, or LoRaWAN BMS systems.
- Cloud certifications or experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, data storage, and IoT hubs.
- Knowledge of Apps Script.
