Summer Internship - Cyber / AI Consultant - 2027

Location: Melbourn, Royston, UK; campus-based role near Cambridge

What you will do

• Contribute to live client and internal projects during an 8–10 week summer placement.
• Apply AI/ML, engineering, or scientific knowledge to solve complex real-world problems.
• Build prototypes in the lab and explore new areas of technology.
• Work with multidisciplinary consultants across engineering, computer science, physics, and biology.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders while developing an understanding of commercial technology consulting.
• Take ownership of technical work and contribute to new products, ventures, and technologies.

Requirements

• Currently studying AI/ML, Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline.
• On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification with strong A-Levels or equivalent qualifications.
• At least two years of the degree must be completed before the internship begins; students starting their second year may apply.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, first-principles thinking, inventiveness, and commercial awareness.
• Strong collaboration, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum commitment of 8 weeks, with the internship recommended to run for 10 weeks from July 2027.
