National Environmental Officer (NP1) (Environmental Governance): Supporting environmental policy analysis, project planning, implementation, monitoring, and coordination for the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek with an accent on sustainable development, disaster risk management, and environmental governance. Focus on researching national environmental issues, advising stakeholders, managing project results and resources, and organizing policy events and consultations.
Location: Programme Office in Bishkek, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Salary: €1,917.8 per month, subject to social security deductions

What you will do
- Research and analyze environmental governance, policies, legislation, emerging issues, and national and regional developments.
- Prepare analytical reports, policy briefs, concept papers, project documents, presentations, and other substantive outputs.
- Support the planning, design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of environmental programmes and projects.
- Advise the Head of the Economic and Environmental Department on environmental matters and programme implications.
- Build working relationships with government institutions, civil society, international organizations, development partners, and donors.
- Plan and coordinate conferences, seminars, workshops, visits, and related follow-up activities.
Requirements
- First-level university degree in environmental science, ecology, law, public policy, economics, natural resources management, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in sustainable development, disaster risk management, environmental governance, or multilateral environmental conventions.
- At least one year of supervisory experience and experience in project management.
- Knowledge of disaster risk management, environmental governance, sustainable development, and the national and regional context.
- Advanced computer literacy, including practical experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Russian or Kyrgyz are required.
