International Consultant - Combating Trafficking in Human Beings

Location: SEC - hirify.global Secretariat, Vienna, Austria

Remuneration will be based on the selected consultant's qualifications, experience, tasks, deliverables, and hirify.global established rates.

The hirify.global Secretariat supports participating States in implementing commitments and recommendations related to combating trafficking in human beings.

What you will do

• Develop an evidence-based publication on preventing trafficking in tourism supply chains.
• Analyze risks related to labour exploitation, forced labour, deceptive recruitment, and sexual exploitation.
• Prepare practical examples, case studies, risk mapping, checklists, and recommendations for governments, businesses, and consumers.
• Coordinate with the hirify.global Supply Chains Project team and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and people with lived experience.
• Support up to three publication-launch or dissemination workshops.
• Finalize and present the publication to the hirify.global Supply Chains Project team.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional experience related to trafficking in human beings, labour exploitation, forced labour, human rights due diligence, responsible recruitment, or labour.
• At least 7 years of lived experience as a survivor of human trafficking or other labour exploitation may also be considered when combined with relevant expertise and contributions.
• Experience working with diverse professional groups and maintaining constructive relationships across national and cultural backgrounds.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required.
• Gender awareness, sensitivity, and the ability to integrate a gender perspective into professional activities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and computer literacy.

Nice to have

• Experience in tourism, hospitality, agriculture, construction, transport, or recruitment.
• Knowledge of other hirify.global official or relevant languages.
