1 Year Contract Business Risk Specialist - Business Surveillance & Assurance

What you will do

• Conduct risk-based surveillance reviews covering fair dealing, client suitability, sales and dealing practices, staff conduct, pricing, periodic reviews, and gift and entertainment controls.
• Identify gaps in operational procedures and monitor non-adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Document review evidence, explain findings to monitored staff, manage stakeholder expectations, and escalate issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in internal investigations related to staff misconduct and emerging risks.
• Prepare surveillance findings and management reports for senior management.
• Collaborate with Front Office and Risk functions, global offices, and departmental projects while coordinating staff training.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in Audit, Risk and Control, or Compliance, preferably in a private banking environment.
• Good knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, including fair dealing practices.
• Strong analytical, investigative, organizational, interpersonal, and professional communication skills.
• High integrity, independence, adaptability, initiative, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Copilot Premium, Power Automate, and data analytics tools.
