Fraud Prevention Officer (Fintech)

Location: Bulgaria; hybrid work possibilities are available.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain fraud prevention policies, procedures, internal controls, and monitoring rules.
• Conduct fraud risk assessments, update fraud scenarios and risk profiles, and evaluate payment transaction monitoring processes.
• Analyze suspected and confirmed fraud cases, identify trends, and initiate preventive measures.
• Coordinate fraud incident responses and monitor key risk and performance indicators.
• Prepare management reports on fraud risk levels and control effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Risk, Operations, IT, AML/CTF, and Customer Support teams on investigations, complaints, and customer fraud awareness.

Requirements

• Higher education degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in fraud prevention, payment monitoring, AML, risk management, or financial crime prevention, preferably in fintech or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Lithuanian and EU AML, fraud prevention, and sanctions regulations.
• Knowledge of PSP services and payment fraud schemes, with the ability to analyze data and identify risk trends.
• Experience in process development and continuous improvement, plus good MS Office and digital tool skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English, together with independence, objectivity, and accountability.
