Project Officer (NYOTA) Kenya Dadaab

What you will do

• Conduct at least four mentorship sessions over four months for assigned NYOTA participants.
• Provide practical coaching on business planning, financial management, marketing, customer relations, operations, pricing, and record keeping.
• Help young entrepreneurs set goals, address business challenges, monitor progress, and develop practical action plans.
• Connect participants with markets, value chains, financial services, cooperatives, business networks, and entrepreneurship support services.
• Coordinate with NYOTA teams, trainers, facilitators, MSEA, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records, submit reports, and contribute to programme monitoring, learning, and quality improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Commerce, Economics, Development Studies, Livelihoods, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in business mentorship, enterprise coaching, or advisory services.
• Practical entrepreneurship and business management experience, including support for entrepreneurs facing business challenges and growth decisions.
• Knowledge of the local micro and small enterprise and market context.
• Ability to mentor and coach youth using inclusive, gender-responsive, culturally sensitive, disability-inclusive, and safeguarding-focused approaches.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the refugee and host-community context in Kakuma/Kalobeyei or Dadaab.
