Material Planner

Location: Leiden, South Holland, Netherlands; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: €44,700–€70,840 base pay annually

What you will do

• Create, maintain, and publish Materials Requirements Plans to support production and customer needs.
• Convert master production and detailed schedules into material requirements for raw materials and components.
• Manage inventory levels, reducing excess, obsolete, expired, and scrapped materials while meeting service targets.
• Communicate delivery schedules to suppliers and partner with Global Procurement to improve supplier quality and on-time delivery.
• Track supplier service performance and coordinate issue resolution, including returns and disposal of rejected materials.
• Support material phase-in and phase-out activities and drive continuous improvement in planning processes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in supply chain management or a related business field.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in planning, purchasing, logistics, or manufacturing within a multinational environment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environments is preferred.
• Practical experience with SAP or similar planning and inventory systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with Lean or continuous-improvement approaches.
• Clear communication, collaboration, organization, and results orientation.
