Finance Analyst (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Budapest area, Hungary, with the office accessible from Budapest and Dunaharaszti. Hybrid work is available, with the possibility of working from home 3 days per week.

What you will do

• Execute Record to Report activities for the EMEA financial shared services function in line with group policies, local and US GAAP requirements, service levels, and KPIs.
• Approve SOX-related reconciliations, review balance sheets, analyze balance sheet variances, and prepare trend analyses.
• Track month-end closing issues and act as the first point of contact for ageing and GRNI matters.
• Coordinate with operational teams and FP&A, provide instructions, review aged balances, and support account creation with the Service Delivery Team.
• Collect documentation for financial statement preparation and statutory, SOX, and local audits.
• Support system changes, activity transitions, team development, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• University or college degree in Finance or Accounting, or qualification as a Certified Chartered Accountant.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in controlling, accounting, or bookkeeping.
• Hands-on experience in financial controlling and variance analysis.
• Intermediate English proficiency required.
• Experience with ERP systems and the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Strong financial, IT, analytical, operational, and customer-service skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and understand detailed business impacts.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or JDE ERP systems.
• BlackLine knowledge.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Accounting office or shared service center experience.
