TL;DR
Marketplace Economics Expert (Causal Inference/Experimentation): Building causal inference models and analytical tools to guide supply, pricing, and marketplace policy decisions with an accent on experimentation, treatment effects, and commercial impact measurement. Focus on analyzing marketplace economics, translating complex findings into decision guardrails, and leading cross-functional work with Supply, Pricing, Business, and Engineering teams.
Location: Paris or Bordeaux, France; hybrid work with 2 remote days per week, 1 remote work week per quarter, and 3 flex days

What you will do
- Build causal inference models to understand supply, pricing, and the impact of marketplace policies and pricing initiatives.
- Design and analyze experiments and quasi-experiments, including holdout groups, treatment effects, and cannibalization analysis.
- Translate analytical findings into recommendations, decision tools, and guardrails for Revenue, Pricing, and Supply teams.
- Lead cross-functional projects with Supply, Pricing, Business, and Engineering teams.
- Establish best practices for causal inference, experimentation, and impact measurement while mentoring other analysts.
- Communicate complex analytical work to senior stakeholders and influence commercial decisions.
Requirements
- 4–8+ years of experience applying causal inference and statistical methods to business problems.
- Advanced SQL and Python, and/or R.
- Experience driving strategic decisions through cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Paris or Bordeaux, France.
Nice to have
- Experience with digital marketplaces, e-commerce, or two-sided platforms.
- Experience building analytics capabilities in growing organizations.
- Experience with dbt and Tableau.
