Senior Lead Data Scientist/ Specialist (Biometrics)

Location: Canberra, Australia; hybrid work with up to 2 days per week from home depending on team needs

What you will do

• Analyze biometric capabilities and recommend tuning and configuration changes.
• Design and develop modules for analyzing, testing, and configuring biometric systems.
• Analyze image quality, biometric matching, and liveness detection.
• Compile reports on biometric performance.
• Work closely with the application team to design and tune solutions for customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a software engineering environment.
• Experience designing and developing software application features using biometric technology.
• Understanding of application development and testing tools, APIs, configuration management, and system integration.
• Experience with server operating systems and platforms, scripting, technical troubleshooting, requirements analysis, and performance tuning.
• Qualification or relevant experience in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication, teamwork, customer focus, systems thinking, and technical acumen.

Nice to have

• Programming or scripting experience in a mainstream programming or scripting language.
