Graphics Hardware Validation Undergraduate Engineering Intern (GPU): Validating Intel discrete graphics and data center platforms through test planning, benchmarking, hardware and software debugging, and analysis of power and thermal behavior with an accent on GPU architecture, laboratory equipment, operating systems, and system-level troubleshooting. Focus on developing automated validation tests, investigating functional and performance anomalies, and supporting platform readiness and manufacturability assessments.
Location: On-site in Toronto, Canada

What you will do
- Execute platform and board validation tasks and develop test plans for functionality and performance.
- Analyze test results, identify anomalies, and assist with debugging functional and performance issues.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to support platform readiness and quality deliverables.
- Perform configuration testing, manufacturability assessments, and benchmarking for data center platforms.
- Validate power and thermal characteristics using laboratory equipment and system-level troubleshooting techniques.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related STEM field.
- At least 3 months of educational or work experience with computer architecture or computer organization.
- Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Experience with Windows drivers, operating systems, error logs, and program configuration, or with Linux operating systems and the Windows command line.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, collaboration, communication, and initiative.
Nice to have
- Experience with discrete graphics add-in cards or mobile discrete graphics systems.
- Knowledge of PC x86 architecture, CPU processors, multimedia, memory, PCIe, display technologies, power management, and 3D graphics.
- Experience building a personal PC or working with computer hardware.
- Programming experience in Python or a similar language.
