TL;DR
Senior Geologist — Exploration (Mineral Exploration): Discovering, delineating, and growing mineral resources at the Didipio gold and copper mine with an accent on geological, geochemical, and geophysical assessment, target generation, and exploration program management. Focus on designing drilling plans, interpreting exploration data, managing GIS and geological databases, and evaluating Au-Cu porphyry and Au-Ag epithermal targets.

Location: Didipio, Philippines; onsite work in remote conditions

What you will do

  • Discover, delineate, and grow mineral resources across hirify.global tenements.
  • Conduct geological, geochemical, and geophysical assessments, surveys, sampling, and data analysis.
  • Generate, evaluate, and rank exploration targets while maintaining the exploration pipeline.
  • Develop and implement drilling plans to maximize exploration effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Manage exploration data using geological databases and GIS software, including ArcGIS, Micromine, and Leapfrog.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, local stakeholders, and communities while supporting safety, health, and environmental programs.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Geology.
  • At least 10 years of mineral exploration experience.
  • Experience with Au-Cu porphyry and Au-Ag epithermal deposits, ore deposit models, drilling, geophysical and geochemical programs, geological mapping, sampling, interpretation, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in geological and geotechnical core logging, data management, target generation, ArcGIS, Micromine, Leapfrog, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
  • Registered Geologist with PRC and holder of a Professional Driver’s License with 4WD experience.
  • Must be physically fit, able to work in remote conditions, and have valid working rights in the Philippines. Visa sponsorship is not available.
