Associate Product Designer (Construction Toys)

Location: Montreal, Canada; onsite role at the hirify.global Building Sets Campus.

What you will do

• Develop construction toy concepts from ideation through production follow-up.
• Create sketches, block constructions, formal and functional studies, decorations, and color definitions.
• Build 3D study models, mock-ups, prototypes, presentation images, and product submissions.
• Develop new 3D parts suitable for injection molding and prepare technical production specifications.
• Plan and generate visuals for assembly instruction booklets.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, brand managers, graphic designers, marketing, and other cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• DEC or bachelor's degree in industrial design, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in industrial or product design.
• Strong hand-sketching, model-making, presentation, and project collaboration skills.
• Advanced proficiency with 3D and 2D design software such as SolidWorks, Cinema 4D, and Adobe Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and aesthetics, creativity, resourcefulness, initiative, and ability to meet deadlines and manage product budgets.
• Comfortable in French; English is an asset.
