Associate Product Designer (Construction Toys)

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada; onsite at the hirify.global Building Sets Campus

6-month contract

hirify.global is a global toy and family entertainment company developing toys, content, consumer products, and digital and live experiences across a portfolio of owned and licensed brands.

What you will do

• Develop construction toy concepts from ideation through production follow-up.
• Create sketches, block constructions, formal and functional research, decorations, and color definitions.
• Produce 3D study models, mock-ups, prototypes, presentation images, and product submissions.
• Develop new injection-ready 3D parts for integration into the construction system.
• Plan and generate images for assembly instruction booklets.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, brand management, graphics, marketing, and other teams while presenting concepts formally.

Requirements

• DEC or bachelor’s degree in industrial design, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in product or industrial design.
• Strong hand-sketching, model-making, presentation, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with 3D and 2D design software, including SolidWorks, C4D, and Adobe Suite.
• Ability to manage deadlines, product budgets, feasibility, cost, aesthetics, and attention to detail.
• Comfortable in French; English is an asset.

• Knowledge of plastics.
• Interest in construction toys, pop culture, video games, figurine collecting, or cinema.
