Senior SOC Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Monitor and adjust detection systems for new and emerging threats.
• Develop automation and tooling to improve resilience against evolving threats.
• Analyze malicious email, mobile, DNS, and messaging activity and identify anti-abuse patterns.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Support, Threat Operations, and Technical Services to improve threat detection and customer protection.
• Document threats and trends for internal and external communication.
• Support users submitting CSI remediation requests within a 24x7 follow-the-sun environment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in anti-abuse email deliverability, threat research, or another security research field.
• Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Strong technical experience with email, mobile, DNS, or other messaging technologies.
• Proficiency with Shell and Go; Perl and Python are also acceptable.
• Good knowledge of SIEM tools such as Splunk or Kibana and familiarity with SQL.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Internet Service Providers, Email Service Providers, or Mobile Operators.
• Familiarity with regular expressions.
• Understanding of operating systems and network protocols.
• Proficiency in a non-English language.
