Engineering Project/Program Manager (Defense)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; hybrid/on-site as required. Travel requirement: 10–20%. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance are required.

Salary: $138,700–$190,700 per year, with bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Act as the primary strategic voice and customer liaison for military clients across the Air Force, Navy, and Army.
• Lead cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams through parallel product development programs.
• Own program execution, including schedules, risk mitigation, financial performance, and baseline integrations.
• Scale operational processes across the military GPS and positioning portfolio.
• Oversee contractual and technical documentation, including formal SDRL and CDRL data packages.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of program management experience leading complex hardware and software engineering projects.
• Experience managing full product development lifecycles in defense, aerospace, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
• Customer-facing experience balancing technical customer demands with internal engineering capacity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for project control.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice to have

• Technical experience with military GPS systems, navigation platforms, or PNT technologies.
• Familiarity with SDRLs, CDRLs, NDAs, PIAs, and TAA compliance.
• Experience establishing scalable program management processes in a fast-growing environment.
