Probe Software Engineer (AI/ML) (C#, C++, Python, SQL, semiconductor manufacturing): Building tester applications, factory automation interfaces, manufacturing system integrations, data infrastructure, and equipment interfaces with an accent on wafer test operations and production-scale software. Focus on developing AI/ML-powered defect detection, process monitoring, predictive analytics, and troubleshooting complex laboratory and cleanroom equipment systems.
Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite at the San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters
Salary: $134,800–$179,700 annually

What you will do
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance software applications, user interfaces, test programs, and automation tools for wafer test, manufacturing, engineering, and product development.
- Build automated solutions that improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, yield, cycle time, and operational productivity.
- Integrate manufacturing systems, databases, equipment controllers, reporting platforms, enterprise applications, and manufacturing execution systems.
- Design and optimize databases, data models, reporting solutions, analytics tools, and data pipelines.
- Develop low-level hardware and instrumentation interfaces for equipment communication, data acquisition, device control, and automated measurement.
- Develop AI/ML applications for defect detection, process monitoring, predictive analytics, root-cause analysis, and intelligent manufacturing automation.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Software development experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, industrial automation, or test engineering environments.
- Proficiency in C#, C++, Python, SQL, and modern software development practices.
- Experience with database development and optimization, distributed applications, services, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and perform root-cause analysis on complex laboratory equipment and instrumentation issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and IT teams.
