Social Media Lead

Location: Somerville, Massachusetts, United States; flexible work from home as needed with access to company offices and opportunities to work remotely from eligible locations for up to two months per year.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Own social media strategy across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging channels.
• Create, schedule, publish, and optimize content while directing designers, freelancers, agencies, and external partners.
• Define channel metrics, analyze performance and competitors, and provide recurring recommendations linked to brand, marketing, and pipeline goals.
• Lead audience engagement, community participation, integrated campaigns, event coverage, and content distribution beyond social feeds.
• Build and manage the CEO’s social presence and launch an employee social media ambassador program.
• Establish content review, approval, brand safety, and employee social media guideline processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of dedicated social media experience in a technology company, ideally in B2B technology, security, or defense technology.
• End-to-end ownership of social media programs with demonstrated audience and engagement growth across multiple platforms.
• Hands-on experience planning and optimizing paid social campaigns.
• Experience developing executive and employee social presence, including executive ghostwriting or ambassador programs.
• Experience directing agencies, freelancers, or contractors and leading cross-functional campaigns.
• Strong judgment regarding public communication involving customers, security, and sensitive information, plus strong communication and coaching skills.
