What you will do
- Act as the primary procurement liaison for major generation and transmission capital projects.
- Develop and manage integrated procurement plans aligned with engineering, construction, commissioning, and project milestones.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, services, construction, supplier capacity, sourcing, and contracting activities.
- Establish accountability, escalation paths, dashboards, and risk registers for procurement readiness and project execution.
- Communicate procurement risks, mitigation plans, critical decisions, and readiness updates to project leadership and executives.
- Coordinate execution across Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Logistics, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience; alternatively, an associate’s degree with 10 years of experience or a high school diploma/GED with 12 years of experience.
- Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contracting, supplier management, supply markets, manufacturing lead times, and delivery assurance.
- Experience supporting large capital, utility, energy, generation, transmission, infrastructure, industrial, or engineering projects.
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and executive communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with generation, transmission, utility, energy, EPC, or infrastructure capital projects.
- Knowledge of project controls, critical path scheduling, commissioning, and construction sequencing.
- Experience managing procurement risks on projects exceeding $100 million in capital investment.
- PMP, CPSM, CPSD, SCM, or similar professional certification.
- Experience working in matrixed and portfolio-based organizations.
