Senior State Government Affairs Manager, Texas & Southeast (AI Infrastructure): Leading multi-state government affairs and legislative engagement to support data center expansion and AI infrastructure growth with an accent on policy analysis, stakeholder relationships, and economic development. Focus on shaping state policy, building bipartisan coalitions, and translating complex regulatory developments into business outcomes across Texas and the Southeast.

Location: Remote, based in Texas; domestic position focused on the United States. Frequent travel to state capitals, key Southeast markets, and conferences is required, estimated at 40–50% of the time.

Base salary: $122,000–$163,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Lead legislative and political engagement across assigned states in the Southeast, including Texas.
  • Develop state-specific engagement plans, identify stakeholders, anticipate emerging issues, and recommend courses of action.
  • Monitor and interpret legislation and regulations affecting data centers, AI infrastructure, energy policy, and economic development.
  • Build relationships with governors’ offices, legislators, staff, economic development agencies, consultants, trade associations, and advocacy groups.
  • Coordinate with commercial, legal, communications, and operations teams on government affairs priorities and messaging.
  • Represent CoreWeave at hearings, industry events, and stakeholder meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in multi-state government affairs, legislative affairs, or a related policy role.
  • Strong understanding of state legislative and regulatory processes and their business impact.
  • Track record of building bipartisan relationships with government officials and policymakers.
  • Strong research, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be based in the United States, with the role based in Texas, and able to travel frequently across the Southeast.

Nice to have

  • Experience in technology, tax policy, energy policy, or infrastructure development.
  • Knowledge of AI, cloud computing, or related technology sectors.
  • Experience with coalition building or advocacy campaign management.
  • Familiarity with political landscapes and decision-makers in multiple state markets, particularly Texas.
  • Experience generating business results or revenue impact through government affairs.
