Principal Cloud Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Set the infrastructure direction for AI agents and implement major platform components.
• Design and operate secure, dedicated AWS environments for enterprise customers.
• Build systems for provisioning, managing, scaling, and deleting fleets of tenant environments.
• Architect infrastructure across networking, identity, compute, data, security, observability, cost, and performance.
• Build and maintain container platforms and CI/CD pipelines that enable safe, fast engineering delivery.
• Design, document, plan, delegate, and implement major architecture changes independently.

Requirements

• 7–9+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps/SRE at a functional lead level.
• Production experience designing complex infrastructure on AWS across networking, identity, compute, and data.
• Experience architecting single-tenant platforms and managing tenant-environment fleets throughout their lifecycle.
• Expert-level Pulumi experience, including designing and scaling large Pulumi codebases.
• Experience with containerized workloads such as ECS or Kubernetes and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Deep infrastructure-security expertise, including isolation, least privilege, defense in depth, and SOC 2 controls; strong programming skills in Python, Go, or a similar language.

Nice to have

• Production experience with GCP or Azure alongside AWS.
• Experience building cloud infrastructure at an early-stage, seed-to-Series-A startup.
• Cloud provider certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, or Azure equivalents.
