Junior Controller (m/f/d) (FP&A)

Location: Cologne, Germany. Work from home may be arranged individually when office presence is not required, including up to 20 days per year anywhere in the EU.

What you will do

• Support budgets, forecasts, long-term financial plans, business cases, and scenario analyses.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, performance analyses, management presentations, and KPI dashboards.
• Analyze actual results against budgets and forecasts, identify variances, and investigate business drivers.
• Support month-end closing by validating financial data and coordinating with Accounting and Business Controlling.
• Automate and standardize reporting, forecasting, and planning processes using modern finance tools.
• Explore AI-driven solutions, improve data quality, and support new FP&A tools and digital initiatives.

Requirements

• Recently completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• Interest in financial planning, business performance, data analytics, automation, and digital technologies.
• Fluent English required; German is a plus.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Python, or AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT is advantageous.
