Lead, Software Engineer (Implementations)

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid role

Salary: CAD $110,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage environment setup, configuration, connectivity, monitoring, and application deployments for client implementations.
• Coordinate testing and UAT cycles, track defects, and work with technical teams to resolve issues.
• Plan and execute data migration dry runs, production cutovers, and go-live runbooks.
• Coordinate releases into test environments and obtain client acceptance through implementation milestones.
• Act as the main connection between clients, delivery teams, and support functions throughout the conversion lifecycle.
• Prepare implementation records and handover documentation for Client Services and business-as-usual support.

Requirements

• Experience in software implementation, conversion, onboarding, deployment, technical operations, or application support.
• Experience managing test, UAT, migration, and go-live activities.
• Strong client-facing communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and defect-triage skills.
• Understanding of environment management, application deployment, release coordination, runbooks, checklists, and implementation plans.
• Working knowledge of Linux and scripting with Bash and/or KornShell.
• Familiarity with XML, IBM MQ, and SFTP.

Nice to have

• Experience with TeamCity, Perforce, GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, or Geneos Monitoring.
• Background in financial services or enterprise systems delivery environments.
