Director of Compliance (Crypto)

Location: Hong Kong or Singapore

Salary: USD $150,000–$220,000

An established digital asset technology business developing financial crime compliance offerings for traditional finance and crypto clients.

What you will do

• Develop AML controls covering sanctions, transaction monitoring, and investigations.
• Advise traditional finance and crypto clients on digital asset financial crime exposure.
• Translate regulatory changes into practical guidance for clients and internal teams.
• Work with product and commercial teams to develop compliance services around customer needs.
• Support regulatory engagement and suspicious activity reporting where required.

Requirements

• Senior financial crime or compliance experience, such as MLRO, CCO, or an equivalent leadership position.
• Experience across traditional financial services and crypto businesses.
• Practical knowledge of blockchain investigation tools, wallet screening, or transaction monitoring.
• Confidence advising clients and working with senior stakeholders.
• CAMS or an equivalent qualification.
• Ability to work in Hong Kong or Singapore.

Nice to have

• Experience with licensing applications, regulatory reviews, or remediation.
