Field Service Representative - Ingeniero de Campo (Gas Turbines)

Location: Lima, Peru; extensive travel within the assigned territory and potentially to other customer locations is required. The role includes rotational schedules, extended customer-site assignments, emergency call-outs, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, call-out services, and commissioning support for Solar gas turbine packages.
• Diagnose technical issues and repair or adjust minor mechanical and electrical components and systems.
• Identify equipment abnormalities and safety risks, and take corrective action to prevent hazards or equipment damage.
• Provide technical assistance to operations and maintenance crews while maintaining customer communication and service quality.
• Prepare daily reports, equipment history records, work orders, material requisitions, and other workforce management documentation.
• Coordinate parts, staffing needs, and field activities to support equipment availability and minimize downtime.

Requirements

• Technical degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, marine engineering, aviation engineering, or a related field.
• Typically 3–5 years of related industry experience, including gas turbine and turbomachinery maintenance.
• Experience in overseas, offshore, remote, or field service environments and the ability to work independently across multiple technical disciplines.
• Working knowledge of rotating equipment, gas turbine theory, operating practices, PLC systems, basic PLC programming, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and technical documentation.
• High-intermediate English proficiency is required. Ability to obtain and maintain required medical, survival, technical, and applicable offshore certifications is also required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, automation engineering, or a related discipline.
• Advanced English proficiency, a valid passport, and a valid B1/B2 visa.
• Experience with gas turbine troubleshooting, turbomachinery overhauls, major maintenance, commissioning, start-up, and customer-facing field service.
• Experience in industrial, power generation, oil and gas, or energy environments.
