hirify.global is recruiting for a global multi-energy company operating large-scale refining, petrochemical, and LNG facilities with a strong HSE and environmental focus.

What you will do

  • Manage and control incineration, composting, and waste collection contractors against contractual, operational, certification, staffing, equipment, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide independent technical oversight of industrial incineration operations and maintenance, including combustion systems, refractory linings, burners, fuel trains, draft fans, instrumentation, and pollution control equipment.
  • Review breakdown findings, verify root causes and corrective actions, witness critical inspections, and assess equipment condition and technical integrity.
  • Supervise composting parameters, including feedstock ratios, moisture and temperature profiles, aeration, pathogen reduction, curing, and end-product quality.
  • Lead field supervision, monitoring, reporting, audit support, HSE activities, and emergency response.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Recognized waste management competence certification, such as WAMITAB or CIWM Certificate of Technical Competence for hazardous waste and incineration, or an accepted equivalent.
  • Documented manufacturer or OEM training on industrial incineration plants.
  • 12–15 years of experience in waste management facility operations, mainly involving industrial or hazardous waste treatment.
  • Hands-on experience operating, maintaining, repairing, and independently diagnosing industrial incineration plant faults, including combustion, refractory, burner, and control issues.
  • Working knowledge of environmental permits, waste classification, Environmental Management Systems, and IFC standards; strong English communication and documentation skills required.

Nice to have

  • ISO 14001 Internal Auditor qualification.
  • Portuguese language skills.
