What you will do
- Lead and manage a Workday HCM engineering team focused on quality delivery, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
- Provide technical guidance on solution design, problem-solving, development standards, design patterns, and engineering tools.
- Oversee code quality, maintainability, performance, peer reviews, and reliable development workflows.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture and product leaders to align technical direction, resourcing, and delivery priorities.
- Coach engineers through performance reviews, career development, capability assessments, and succession planning.
- Address production issues, team performance challenges, and complex operational problems through root cause analysis and long-term improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, supporting, and optimizing Workday HCM solutions.
- Expertise in Workday architecture, business processes, security, reporting, integrations, and modules including Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Learning, Recruiting, and Talent & Performance.
- 3+ years of experience leading Workday HCM teams as a Team Lead, Technical Lead, or People Manager.
- Experience with coaching, capability development, performance management, resource planning, stakeholder management, and service performance measurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of software development standards, coding practices, IT Service Management, Agile Scrum, and cross-functional risk management.
