Cyber Security Risk Director (Cybersecurity)

Location: Toronto office at 483 Bay Street, moving to the Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway in late 2026. Flexible work arrangements include remote, hybrid, and in-office options. Current work authorization for Canada is required.

What you will do

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of hirify.global’s cybersecurity risk framework and Cyber Risk Oversight Program.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and report cybersecurity risks across hirify.global’s business entities and initiatives.
• Conduct technical risk reviews and challenge first-line risk assessments, control evaluations, metrics, mitigation plans, and risk acceptances.
• Advise business units and Information Security stakeholders on risk issues, remediation strategies, internal controls, and regulatory expectations.
• Represent hirify.global on Fidelity International cyber governance committees and manage relationships with external cybersecurity risk experts.
• Provide second-line leadership during major cyber incidents, including cybersecurity-related privacy events, and report risk insights to senior management committees.

Requirements

• University degree and 7+ years of related experience, including 5+ years at management level.
• Experience developing and implementing cybersecurity risk oversight programs in financial services, preferably in a second- or third-line-of-defense role.
• Advanced knowledge of cyber risk management practices, regulatory requirements, cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and control validation.
• Experience with risk frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001; COBIT knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, project management, communication, influencing, and stakeholder negotiation skills.
• Professional cybersecurity certification such as CRISC, CISM, CISA, CISSP, or CCSP.

Nice to have

• Cybersecurity risk consulting, cybersecurity audit, or similar second-line-of-defense experience in financial services.
• Proficiency with the COBIT risk framework.
