Payroll Specialist

Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum

hirify.global is recruiting for a payroll function supporting payroll, pensions, expenses, and related systems.

What you will do

• Process end-to-end payroll, pensions, and employee expenses accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Support payroll team leadership in delivering payroll and pensions services across the business.
• Maintain compliance with HMRC requirements, pensions legislation, internal controls, and audit standards.
• Act as a key contact for Finance, People/HR, business teams, and third-party providers.
• Resolve payroll and pensions queries while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Support process standardisation, automation, system testing, technology changes, and colleague training.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience processing end-to-end payroll and pensions.
• Strong knowledge of UK and Republic of Ireland payroll and pensions.
• Understanding of payroll legislation, regulatory requirements, financial controls, and compliance.
• Experience with payroll system implementations, upgrades, technology changes, and testing new functionality.
• Experience using payroll, expenses, and pensions platforms, with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft and Google Workspace applications, with strong organisation, communication, and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience with MHR iTrent and Standard Life platforms.
• CIPP Payroll Technician qualification, Level 3 Payroll Administrator Apprenticeship, or equivalent.
