Compliance Intern (Fintech)

Location: Remote in Peru

What you will do

• Provide compliance advisory support on consumer finance and payments requirements, documenting guidance and follow-ups.
• Coordinate compliance operations and advisory requests, reviews, actions, workflows, and evidence.
• Perform second-line oversight of higher-risk complaint handling and support trend and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain issue and remediation logs, monitor aging, and support change management and control readiness.
• Review marketing communications and new products for compliance risks, required disclosures, and launch conditions.
• Support third-party oversight, regulatory reviews, audits, and governance reporting.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, business administration, legal studies, information systems, or a related field.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements for consumer financial products and services.
• Experience in compliance operations, advisory, risk management, quality assurance, or control and oversight activities.
• Strong written communication, documentation, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Sound judgment, high integrity, proactive problem-solving ability, and confidence escalating concerns when needed.
• Minimum one year of experience in consumer finance, fintech, banking, or another regulated environment is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with complaint management, issues management, change management, marketing reviews, product compliance assessments, or third-party oversight.
