Senior Technical Sound Designer (Wwise/Unreal)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

Salary: $100K–$120K CAD per year

hirify.global is a game developer based in Austin, Texas, with a growing Toronto studio. The studio co-develops AAA first-person shooter games and creates original game projects.

What you will do

• Design, script, implement, maintain, and support complex audio systems across game engines and audio toolsets.
• Collaborate with engineering on code-level audio solutions and with other disciplines on audio integration.
• Define, apply, and document best practices for audio workflows and system design.
• Troubleshoot and debug audio systems and tools while providing technical support to sound designers.
• Design and implement high-quality sounds aligned with project vision.

Requirements

• Experience with Audiokinetic Wwise and Unreal Engine.
• Experience with Unreal pipelines including Blueprint, Niagara, animation, and materials.
• Experience debugging audio and gameplay systems, designing interactive audio systems, implementing mixes, and working with 3D audio technologies.
• Shipped titles in a sound designer or technical sound designer role, including experience developing for AAA consoles.
• Strong proficiency with a DAW and sound design tools, plus a high-quality portfolio.
• Willingness to work in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Nice to have

• Scripting experience in Python, Lua, or a similar language.
• Experience with Reaper scripting and extensions.
• C++ programming experience.
