TL;DR
Project Coordinator (Fisheries and Aquaculture): Coordinating the implementation of sustainable fish value-chain activities in Zambia with an accent on project planning, value-chain analysis, stakeholder partnerships, and monitoring and evaluation. Focus on designing multi-stakeholder platforms, managing country-level work plans and budgets, analysing progress, and delivering technical and donor reports.
Location: Nchelenge, Zambia. The role is for a Zambian national or a resident of Zambia with a valid work permit.

What you will do
- Coordinate the implementation of the SVC4LLDCs project work plan and country-level activities.
- Prepare work plans, budgets, project reports, technical outputs, and donor updates.
- Support fisheries and aquaculture value-chain analysis and value-chain development activities.
- Build and maintain partnerships with government institutions, producers, private-sector organizations, research institutions, and development partners.
- Lead the design and coordination of a multi-stakeholder platform and oversee country-level communication and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Monitor and evaluate project performance, analyse progress reports, and recommend solutions to implementation constraints.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in fisheries and aquaculture, agricultural economics, agribusiness, project management, natural resource management, or a related field.
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience coordinating value-chain development activities in fisheries, aquaculture, agriculture, forestry, natural resources, or related areas.
- Working knowledge of English at level C is required.
- Must be a national of Zambia or a resident of Zambia with a valid work permit.
- Experience in project planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, results-based management, and technical reporting.
- Strong knowledge of fisheries value chains, market systems, sustainable aquatic food systems, stakeholder facilitation, and Microsoft Office.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with operational procedures, procurement, financial management, and project cycle management.
- Knowledge of one or more local languages spoken in Zambia.
