TL;DR
Site Reliability Engineer (Fintech): Operating high-load payment, subscription-billing, and accounting systems with an accent on reliability, observability, and distributed infrastructure. Focus on designing fault-tolerant systems, managing incidents and on-call operations, optimizing databases and queues, and preparing payment platforms for traffic peaks.
Location: Vilnius, Lithuania, with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote. Workspaces are also available in Klaipėda and Riga; arrangements outside Vilnius depend on the specific position.
Salary: €5,000–€5,900 gross per month

's verse builds systems, teams, and infrastructure for ventures in the health, wellness, beauty, and travel industries. The PayTech team operates subscription billing, payment gateway, accounting, and other business-critical systems.
What you will do
- Define service reliability targets, measure performance, and establish SLOs.
- Build dashboards and alerts covering technical failures and payment success signals.
- Design resilient systems that continue operating through infrastructure, database, and payment-provider failures.
- Participate in on-call rotations, resolve incidents, and lead post-incident reviews.
- Maintain MySQL databases, caches, backups, service queues, and message delivery.
- Perform capacity planning, load testing, security and compliance work, and collaborate with developers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, platform, or backend engineering with high-load production systems.
- Production Kubernetes experience, preferably AWS EKS, including deployments, autoscaling, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on AWS experience with EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, SQS, IAM, and VPC networking.
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or OpenTofu and observability experience with DataDog and SLO-based alerting.
- Production MySQL operations, distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, incident management, and on-call experience.
- Coding or scripting in Go, Python, or Bash, plus GitLab CI/CD experience.
Nice to have
- Experience in payments, fintech, or subscription billing.
- Experience in PCI DSS-regulated environments.
- Familiarity with GCP BigQuery, data pipeline reliability, load testing, or chaos engineering.
