Payroll Specialist

TL;DR
Payroll Specialist (U.S. Payroll/Compliance): Managing U.S. payroll operations and certified-payroll documentation with an accent on prevailing-wage requirements, wage classifications, and payroll reconciliations. Focus on reviewing Davis-Bacon and state/local classifications, coordinating payroll with project costing, and supporting audits and compliance work.
Location: Remote within the United States, with a strong preference for candidates on the East Coast

What you will do
- Manage U.S. payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
- Maintain employee pay rates, deductions, and payroll records.
- Support prevailing-wage and certified-payroll requirements.
- Review Davis-Bacon and state and local prevailing-wage classifications.
- Coordinate payroll data with project and job costing.
- Support payroll audits, compliance documentation, and finance administration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in payroll or payroll accounting.
- Direct experience with prevailing wages and certified payroll.
- Knowledge of Davis-Bacon and state and local wage requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and Excel skills.
- Ability to work remotely from the United States; East Coast location is strongly preferred.
