Senior QA Automation Engineer (AQA/SDET)

Location: Fully remote within Europe; listed locations include Kraków, Bucharest, Lisbon, and Vilnius.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated API, integration, contract, frontend, and data-validation tests.
• Build coverage for missing or delayed data, incorrect calculations, and other complex edge cases.
• Investigate failed tests and production-like issues using logs, metrics, monitoring dashboards, and API responses.
• Shape test architecture, review code, prioritize QA work, and establish technical vision across projects.
• Drive QA best practices, documentation, observability, reliability, and testability improvements.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted testing, development, and workflow automation tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of AQA/SDET experience with complex backend, API, data-heavy, or distributed systems.
• Strong Java programming skills and hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Postman, REST-assured, and Allure.
• Solid SQL and PostgreSQL experience, including advanced queries, data validation, and investigation of inconsistencies.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, backend architecture, service health checks, configuration, and deployment validation.
• Experience with Git, Scrum or another Agile process, and strong test design skills.
• Hands-on experience with Cursor or Claude, custom AI skills, agents, rules, AI no-code tools, and n8n workflow automation; proficiency in English is required.
